Emergency Maintenance Notification

Posted by Tom Walsh | Comments Off on Emergency Maintenance Notification

We are currently having some issues with the UPS for the datacenter in Atlanta. One of the inverters is indicating that it is faulty. This will require taking the UPS offline while the item is replaced.

The UPS provides power to the datacenter from the public utility feed and is designed to carry to load of the datacenter for the time it takes the generators to come online.

During this maintenance period we will have to divert power that comes from the public utility feed (the power company) directly to the datacenter, bypassing the UPS while it is being worked on. There is a possibility that the utility power feed could drop during this time (unlikely but possible). If this were to occur, the datacenter would lose power and your servers would drop offline.

This notification is only a notification that work is on going and COULD potentially impact your service.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will notify customers once the maintenance has been completed.

We do not have an estimated time of resolution for this maintenance window.

Please let us know if you have any questions.
